Hello Casey,
I had hoped someone from the Forum with active disease would have replied to you by now...I am the mother of Marc Brueland...My son passed away in 2003 of FHC...During these years since I have come to this Forum to comfort and be comforted...There is a wealth of knowledge here and hopefully soon someone will reply...Let me just welcome you and say you have found friends here and those who understand...My son was diagnosed at age 22 with a 13.5cm tumor that had spread to the lymph nodes...After 5 major surgeries and 7.5 years he lost his courage fight...But then there were no successful drugs to put this disease in remission...Surgery is still the best treatment, but there are new drugs that are showing great promise...Some of the patients on this website are using them as we speak...So keep in touch here and you will find help...How old are you and how was this tumor discovered in you? There is a song on YouTube called "Higher Than Hope" written and dedicated to my son Marc and the lyrics reflect his fight and his voice can be heard in the song...You can also see photos if there under Marc Brueland....This may give you strength as it does me....
