So many of us have similar stores. I was diagnosed with Fibrolamellar carcinoma in 1997. I also found out a week after the surgery. When I went in for surgery initially they thought it was a benign tumor. That is great that you did not have any lymph node involvement. I have had two re-occurrences in my lung area but fortunately they were able to remove those masses as well. I have not had any chemotherapy. Since 2002, I have been ok with no new fibrolamellar findings. I was scanned every 3 months up to a few years ago. It is good to go for the scans so that you are monitored closely and it gives you peace of mind that everything is ok. I am now on a yearly cycle for the first time and it feels good but there is some comfort in going quarterly. Stay strong and know that with being monitored closely....you will stay on top of it.
