Ms. Vaughn, Thank you for your post. My sister contacted Dr. Choti via email some time ago and has not heard from him, I will forward the original email to you. My daughter is so close, currently in the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She has already had a liver resection but the FHC has metasticized to the lymphnodes which continue to get larger. Her health is deteriorating every day as she wastes away to nothing in the hospital bed. I spoke someone on the phone when I was told to call Dr. Choti's office and I found that person to be pretty rude. I explained my daughters current status, the fact that she had surgery and is in the hospital bed continuing to fill with fluid due to her malnutrition. Anyway, the person on the phone said, well Dr. Choti is a surgeon and I don't know what you want Dr. Choti to do, we could schedule a consult with a medical oncologist. At this point I thanked the women and hung up. My daughter had a CT Scan when she was 18 that showed some spots on her liver. At that time, the specialist believed they were hemangeoma's and not much to worry about. I wonder if this could have been the beginning of the FHC and if something could be learned by someone looking at the films. We are willing to give them to someone for research but can't find anyone to give them to. I searched the NIH website as well as the National Cancer Institute but couldn't find anything that would help me find out who I can give these films to. Anyway, I don't know if there is anything you can do, or if Dr. Choti is interested in consulting with my daughters doctors, but I will check for a response. Thanks
